- Iron-Removal -
Removal of iron from groundwater and raw water, applied primarily as pre-filtration before the water is led to an ion-exchange unit.
The iron is oxidized through oxygen by way of adding oxidation substances.
After that the iron-oxide-flakes, which have been formed during this process, are cleaned by a gravel or multi-layer-filter.
- Manganese-Removal -
Manganese is very often contained in ground or well water.
It is oxidized through the addition of oxygen.
The flakes forming during this procedure are cleaned through a gravel filter or a special material for filtration, which ensures a biological support through bacteria.
